Macif Finance Épargne reinforces the cohesion of its teams thanks to games

With Kiplin, Macif Finance Épargne was looking found an innovative solution, with a fun concept to get its employees moving again.

The Context

After testing various actions to promote QWL and physical activity in companies, including the installation of smoothie bikes in a common area of the company, Macif Finance Épargne was looking for a new and innovative solution, with a fun concept to get its employees moving again.

In October 2021, under the impetus of the QWL division, Macif Finance Epargne is mobilizing its employees around a physical activity challenge in the fight against cancer. 

The objective: to put its sedentary teams in motion for the benefit of a cause and create cohesion, especially with remote work becoming a regular occurrence.

It was so successful that in 2022, Macif Finance Epargne decided to do it again. This time, the idea is to roll out a more comprehensive, year-round program focused on team building and the benefits of physical activity.

The Program

The first animation had a real solidarity aspect, in order to motivate the employees by transforming their physical activity to support a cause. 

Organized between October and November to accompany both Pink October and Movember, the “Rose Moustache” challenge was offered to more than 600 employees of Macif Finance Épargne on their two sites, in Nantes and Niort. The funds were collected for two associations: Vivre Comme Avant and CERHOM. Each step contributed to increasing the fund and a total of nearly 33,000 km were covered during the 3 week challenge.

To kick off the new 2022 program, Macif Finance Épargne has chosen The Mission of Sherlock Holmes to encourage movement and moderate physical activity among its teams, and to strengthen exchanges between employees. A game that requires a little more interaction between players in order to solve a riddle.

The year-long program also includes video-based physical activity sessions. “The sessions are varied, fun to follow and there is something for everyone. There are multiple slots; it’s flexible and convenient, and you can even participate in replay!”

Rediscovering some of the participants
Thanks to the activities offered around physical activity, the employees really got into the game and some took their role to heart by becoming team captains, motivating the group or animating the game messaging.

Promote awareness
Overall, simply inviting participants to look at their number of daily steps raised awareness of the thresholds of physical inactivity or sedentarity (number of hours spent sitting in a day), accentuated by remote work.

Through Kiplin, players were able to become aware of their daily physical activity. The program triggered revelations for several participants: “The numbers are sometimes disturbing, especially when working at home. You really realize how sedentary you are. In addition to the games, Kiplin challenges us on a personal level, for our physical and mental health.”

Motivated and committed employees

The participants in the Macif Finance Épargne program were highly motivated and committed! The program was a real success and brought people together, even from a distance. The games and the teams create emulation, and push the participants to surpass themselves!
